Memorial Obituary: Funeral service for Arnold Anderson, 69, old-time resident of the Donavon district, who died recently in a Saskatoon hospital, was held in Donavon United Church with Paul Radloff and the Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial with IOOF rites was made in Donavon cemetery with Saskatoon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Anderson was born in Minnesota and emigrated to the Donavon district in 1912 and farmed until two months ago when he went to Saskatoon. He was active in church and community affairs. He was trustee of the Donavon school district for the last 13 years; was a member of the Saskatoon (West) school unit board; a member of the session of Donavon United Church and former secretary-treasurer of the congregation; Sunday school superintendent and teacher and leader of young people's groups. Mr. Anderson was the first delegate of District 13 of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool; past district deputy grand of the IOOF and member of the Delisle lodge and member of the Goose Lake AF and AM lodge. He is survived by his widow, the former Ruby Riddell, whom he married in 1926; four daughters, Shirley, Mrs. Jack Elliott, Donavon; Arlene, Mrs. Tom Bray, Saskatoon; Ruth, Mrs. Stuart Sutherland, Moose Jaw; and Miss Carol, at home; and two sisters, Miss Effie Anderson, Donavon, and Mrs. Byron Richmond, Saskatoon.
